Legacy Society

The STAR Foundation Legacy Society Page

Regardless of our age, at some point, we all begin to consider the legacy we wish to leave to our families, loved ones, and the organizations we value. Planned gifts can play an important role in securing the future of The STAR Foundation, Inc. and ensuring that it will continue to meet its mission in the future.

The STAR Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to the charitable and educational purposes of helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who work and live in lower Fairfield County. The Foundation provides funding to STAR, Inc. and a limited number of select non-profit partners who commit to improve the quality of life of individuals with disabilities through an annual grant process.

The STAR Foundation Legacy Society is a way of paying tribute to those who include The STAR Foundation, Inc. in their planned giving and estate planning. Membership in the STAR Foundation Legacy Society provides an opportunity to record the intent of our donors and a means to express our appreciation for their generosity. Anyone can become a member of the STAR Foundation Legacy Society regardless of the amount of the intention.

A planned gift can help advance your own financial, philanthropic and estate planning goals, capital gains, or estate tax savings. Some can even provide income for you or loved ones for life. And, the financial advantages often allow a gift more generous than you imagined, letting you leave a legacy that reflects you and your family’s goals and values.
